President Shelby is an avid rabbit owner for the last 13 yrs. Her preferred breed of rabbit is the Rex as well as the mini Rex but has had American Fuzzy lop, single mane and double mane lionheads, Holland lops, minilops and Dutch. Shelby has been the primary Domestic Rabbit 4-H club leader for 7 yrs in Saratoga county. The club is the rabbit club for the county. Shelby has an education background as well as experience as a corporate trainer which allows her to educate adults and children alike.
Director of Land Acquisitions I am a co-owner of the property that the rabbit sanctuary is expected to be located on. We have been successfully operating a greenhouse business onsite for the past 5 years and we have growing experience to help our customers achieve their goals for their gardening success.
Treasurer Marilyn worked as an administrative assistant for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County. She also helps in the office during the fair in Saratoga County, and at Provisions Food Pantry in Troy. Marilyn recently retired from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County after 27 years of service. While born in Ohio and meeting her husband Mark there, she and Mark call New York home. Marilyn and Mark have two children, and six grandchildren.

Fundraising Coordinator Dale grew up loving and caring for animals and having a rabbit named Thumper. As a youth he knew the needs of his rabbit needed to be met and he would go without lunch to save his lunch money to get things his rabbit needed. As an adult he has continued his love of animals and became a co leader of the county 4-H rabbit club for the last 7 yrs. In his career as a video production company owner he has continued in the path of caring, organization and publicizing events.
Adoption Coordinator Kohlby Himelrick has had rabbits for the last 12 years. He is an ARBA, ADGA,and NJHA member and is also ion the NJHA oversight committee. He is on the Saratoga county jr fair board and is in 4-H as well as being a program committee member. His passion lies in animal science and agriculture and plans to pursue a degree in agriculture economics. His role as adoption coordinator has him reviewing applications for adoptions and assessing the appropriate family and rabbit.
Volunteer Coordinator Karri’s love of life, living in the moment,and management experience are qualities that make Karri a great candidate to jump in as Volunteer coordinator. Karri has experience fundraising for the scouts and American heart association. She’s a people person who doesn’t mind pitching in. Karri will communicate with volunteers about upcoming meetings and needs we have and needs our volunteers have. Karri will be the point at each event that volunteers make contact with.
